Welcome To My Nightmare

I was drinking rot gut beer

in a sleeping room

Splatters of paint on the walls

one light just a bare blub

the floors had years of filth

The sheets smell of urine and

yellow spots

fleas jumping all over me

cockroaches running up

and down the walls

dead bugs in the window seals

bare wire exposed from

rats eating on them

the smell of wet socks

hung in the air

The roof was about to collapse

down the hall we share a

rest room and shower

water continually drip, drip, drip

the smell of pot heavy in the air

hookers working their magic

screaming daddy daddy daddy

i gotta get out of this place

Home Sweet Home
