It was raining and thundering and lighting flashing outside

branches scraping the windows just a spooky night

i was warm and cozy in front of the fire place

sipping whiskey and smoking a cigar.

I had some heavy thinking to do

i was planing on asking Kelly on a date

she knew i was a basket case,

She had brains a rock hard body and a nice a@#

Kelly all ready heard all the pick up lines

mine had to be just right or she may turn ice cold

i won,t be a stocker but when i ask it will

shock her.

I was nerous as a Chihuahua i passed out

only to wake to the sound of the answering machine

it was Kelly said she would love a date but was

pissed at the 3 am phone call i can,t remember

she said don,t be late and you better be straight

Hot doggie dog i got a date

Happy V-Day to you far out folks

i cant fly in a plane i cant get high enough

I love my guitar, poetry, reading, writing, living life on the edge, Don't worry their no strangers here just strange people, Be sure to let me know you stop bye and let your hair down. Grab some coffee and hope you enjoy.

  1. Oooooh your poem takes us on a journey – up to the skies of the airplane and back down to the fireplace 🙂 Well done.
